Signage Design Production

The Museum of Contemporary Art is motivated by the idea that museums should be culturally and socially useful. With their reopening in the spring of 2020, they asked WE to help them create Covid signage, hoping for a new take on the increasingly ubiquitous and clinical messages calling for social distance and safety protocols. MOCA worked with WE on a playful, engaging and meditative approach to Covid signage. The winding text and starburst shapes illustrate the news ways in which we navigate space and the shape of our social interactions in this “new normal”, while considering our safety and humanity.
